What the commission works out to

The same scenario runs on every program page so two deals are comparable: 100 referred players producing EUR 12,000 of gross gaming revenue in one month, with 15% taken off for bonus cost and marketing before the share is calculated.

Cloudbet Affiliates: illustrative month at 25%
Gross gaming revenueEUR 12,000
Bonus and marketing deductions (15%)EUR 1,800
Net gaming revenueEUR 10,200
Your share at 25%EUR 2,550
Per referred playerEUR 25.50

25% is the entry tier, which is what a new affiliate is signed on. The upper end of the published band needs volume, so the honest planning number for month one is the row above, not the top of the range.

The trade-off

What works

  • Every material term is published — the rate, the tiers, the NGR formula, the cookie window and the payout floor
  • A published 5% sub-affiliate commission, which most programs treat as negotiable
  • Operating since 2013, which in the crypto segment is the strongest solvency signal available
  • Self-serve signup with no invitation, and a withdrawal floor of 0.0001 BTC
  • The restricted-country list is published in full rather than revealed after an application

What to watch

  • Negative balances carry over — the FAQ says so in one word, and it is the term most worth negotiating
  • A flat 25% with no volume ladder, so scale earns nothing extra without a private deal
  • Drop to zero new depositors for three months and the rate falls to 10% on your existing players
  • The 30-day cookie is short against the lifetime attribution several crypto rivals publish
  • Payouts in Bitcoin only, and the first one needs five active referred customers within three months

How to get approved by Cloudbet Affiliates

Signup is self-serve at the affiliate portal, needs no invitation, and the program advertises under five minutes. The account is created at the 25% default tier immediately, so there is no rate negotiation before you can place links.

Two conditions decide whether the account is worth anything. The first payment requires five active referred customers within three months of joining, and staying above 10% requires at least one new first-time depositor every rolling three months — plan the first quarter around acquisition rather than around content volume. Ask the manager about the carryover position and about a rate above Tier 2 once the account has traffic; neither is offered unprompted.

What we would do this week

  1. Read the affiliate terms in full on in-house and note the payment schedule and minimum payout before you apply.
  2. Apply with the market you actually publish for named in the form, and ask for the entry rate in writing.
  3. Ask the manager two questions: whether the Rev share deal is lifetime, and what happens to a month that ends negative.

Our verdict

Overview

Cloudbet Affiliates is the in-house program for Cloudbet, a Bitcoin sportsbook and casino that has been trading since 2013 and is operated by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V. under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/328/0599. One brand, covering sports, esports, live casino, slots and provably fair games. The program states more than twelve thousand affiliates and a self-serve signup that takes under five minutes.

Commission structure

There is no ladder. The affiliate FAQ states the default plainly: a new account is set to Tier 2, which is 25% of net gaming revenue. Tier 1 is the penalty tier — an affiliate who refers no new first-time depositor in the preceding three months drops to 10% on the revenue their existing players still generate. Nothing above 25% is published, so anything more is a private conversation with a manager.

NGR here is defined more aggressively than the industry norm: gross gaming revenue less transaction and other administrative fees, bonuses, loyalty rewards and game-supplier costs. The FAQ is explicit that affiliates "bear/share with Cloudbet the cost of all incentives and loyalty rewards to referred players". A supplier-cost deduction inside NGR is a real number, not a rounding line — it is the reason a 25% share here is not the same as a 25% share elsewhere. Compare structures in revshare vs CPA vs hybrid.

A worked example

Take EUR 8,000 of NGR in a month at the default rate: 8,000 x 0.25 = EUR 2,000. Go a quarter without a single new depositor and the same players at 10% pay 8,000 x 0.10 = EUR 800 — a EUR 1,200 monthly swing decided by acquisition, not by the players you already sent. If a site’s traffic is seasonal, that clause matters more than the headline rate. Run your own figures through the commission calculator.

Negative carryover

The answer is published and it is a bad one. Asked directly whether negative balances carry to the next month, the FAQ answers: yes, balances are not reset. A big win by one referred player therefore follows the account until future revenue clears it. Most crypto programs advertise the opposite; this one at least says so in writing rather than burying it. Read negative carryover, then decide whether the published 25% survives that clause for your traffic.

Sub-affiliates

The sub-affiliate tier is published at 5% of a referred affiliate’s commission, earned through a personal referral link. A named default percentage is rare — most programs answer this question with "ask your manager" — and it makes the arithmetic in sub-affiliate programs explained something you can actually compute in advance.

Tracking, attribution and payments

The cookie window is 30 days, so a click only earns if the player registers inside that month; several crypto rivals attribute for life, and this is the clearest place Cloudbet is behind them. Payouts are Bitcoin only, withdrawable once per calendar month from the affiliate portal, with a floor of 0.0001 BTC. The first payment is gated: five active referred customers within three months of joining. Sub-ID and postback vocabulary for the manager conversation is in affiliate tracking and postbacks explained.

Licensing and restricted markets

The licence is Curaçao, so the brand is not licensed for the regulated European markets, and the FAQ publishes the list of countries where players are refused: Australia, Austria, Belgium, China and Macau and Hong Kong, Cuba, Curaçao itself, France, Germany, Iran, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, North Korea, Singapore, Spain, Syria, the United Kingdom, the United States and its territories, and Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk. Publishing it up front saves an application.

Our verdict

The most completely documented program in this directory: rate, tiers, NGR formula, cookie, payout floor, sub-affiliate rate and restricted countries are all on public pages, dated and quotable. The terms themselves are middling — a flat 25%, an aggressive NGR definition, a 30-day cookie and carryover that does not reset. Twelve years of continuous trading is what you are actually buying. Apply, then negotiate the carryover first and the rate second.

We rate this program 3.7 out of 5 on the terms it publishes.
